Heat Pump Information Session in Stöðvarfjörður
05.05.2025On Monday, 28 April, Eygló hosted a practical and engaging community session at the Fish Factory Creative Centre under the title “Warm Home – Info Session on Heat Pumps and Grants.” The event was part of our ongoing efforts to support the energy transition and sustainability in our local community.
Rut from Parut ehf provided a clear and comprehensive overview of how different types of heat pumps work, which options suit various types of homes, and why they are a smart choice for colder regions.
Axel from Icelandic Environment and Energy Agency complemented this with a concise and practical summary of available grants and incentives, as well as the broader benefits of energy efficiency for both households and the community.
The event was well attended and sparked lively discussion, both during the Q&A and over coffee afterwards. It was clear that there’s strong interest and a real demand for accessible, practical knowledge in this area.
The session was recorded and will soon be made available (with English subtitles) on Eygló’s website and social media channels. A follow-up brochure summarising the key points will also be published.
We’re grateful to Sterkur Stöðvarfjörður for supporting the event – and to all who joined us for such a warm and informative afternoon.
